Lewis, the British Deputy Secretary at War, writes that Mrs. [Sarah Lyons Flucker] Beaumez asked him to write to Knox regarding her finances in England, which have been under Lewis's care. Is happy to inform Knox that Lewis's application to the treasury to continue affording Mrs. Beaumez an allowance has succeeded. Explains the details of how she and her children will receive their allowance. Also reports that while Mrs. Beaumez thought she owed money to Lewis, there is actually a balance in her favor in the account. Briefly discusses other information relating to her account.
