Lateral Entry for California Law Enforcement
註釋Data was collected through two surveys conducted by the Peace Officers' Research Association of California (P.O.R.A.C.). The first survey, made in 1966, was to determine attitudes of working peace officers toward lateral entry. The second survey, made in 1969, was designed to ascertain how extensively lateral entry was used and the current thinking of police administrators on this subject. The second survey was sponsored jointly by the Peace Officers' Research Association and the California Law Enforcement Recruitment Project. It is hoped that the results of the surveys and the conclusions reached may encourage departments to increase police effectiveness by adopting the concept of lateral entry.
