Colonies must become self-sufficient. Colonies must preserve humanity. Colonies must send out more colonies to other planets around other stars. The colony on Arbor should be a model colony with the resources and potential to excel in all of their goals. But there is something watching the arrival of the human colony from the trees. It has plans of its own. The colony must choose how to deal with this unexpected encounter. Can they establish a human colony? Will they be able to become self-sufficient? And if they do, will this risk more than their lives, but put the entire network of colonies at risk?
