Rock Drillability for Military Applications
註釋Drillability as the measure of drilling performance has been based on hardness and toughness of rocks, power input to the drill compared with total volume of hole, and penetration related to resistive forces on the applied penetrative forces. The report describes different drilling systems and their drillability in various rocks and derives drillability equations for rotary and for percussive drill systems, and rock strength characteristics as a guide for predicting drilling in military applications. Factors such as flushing medium and bit size and their effects on drillability are also evaluated. (Author).
