This report is an evaluation of Transceiver KWT-6/5 developed by Collins Radio Company. The tests performed are by no means as complete as desired since the equipment was loaned to RADC for a limited period. However, the tests are indicative enough to determine whether or not the equipment is suitable for Air Force application. Test results indicated a deficiency in the AGC System that is inherent in current SSB receiving equipment. However, in view of the state-of-the-art, it is recommended that this equipment be accepted for Air Force use.
