Spatial and Temporal Effects of NACI Salinity on Root Growth, and the Development of Primary Tissues in Cotton(Gossypium Hirsutum L.,cv. Acala SJ-2)seeding Roots
註釋Root morphology and development anatomy of cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L. cv. Acala SJ-2)was studied for seedings grown under control conditions and at several levels of NaCI salinity. In control plants, primary root elongation rates presented an acceleration phase followed by a deceleration phase. Salinity did not change this pattern, but delayed growth and reduced peak growth rates in a way that suggests a change in the developmental time scale due to salinity. Lateral root growth was more inhibited than primary root growth, pointing to diverse control mechanisms for these root types. Ligth exposure of the shoot favored both lateral root development and the sustained primary root growth from 7 days after planting...
