Forty-eight-year-old Raymond Cosgrove picked up the stack of old cedar boards and carried them to his wagon. He had been given only one day to clear out the building or lose the contract he had agreed to with the government. He was not sure what the hurry was. He wished he could have gotten the contract on the larger building nearby, but his competitor had beat him to it the week before when the government salvage bids were handed out. Still, the building materials, tools, and other assorted items could be added to his construction business. At present, there was just him and one employee, Henry Dobson. Dobson was late, and Cosgrove was unhappy that he would have to do all the work himself. As he turned to go back into the building, he saw Dobson riding on his horse. "Where the hell have you been, Henry?""Sorry, Mr. Cosgrove. My horse was spooked by a dog this morning and ran off, and it took some time to get my horse back. What do you want me to do?"Cosgrove looked over to the small building. "There are a couple of sealed boxes in the right corner labeled fragile glass. Carefully move them to the wagon. The boxes are very heavy, so use the small cart to move them. I might be able to use them as greenhouse glass or for a classic French window in my new house."
