Letter from George W. Paschal in Washington, D.C., to Carnall & Wheeler, Fort Smith, Ark. Paschall writes concerning some land he owned in Fort Smith. The printed letter on verso notes that the Supreme Court of the U.S. has decided that an income tax on salaries of state officers is unconstitutional and Paschal's Washington, D.C., law firm has had much experience in reclaiming tax levies, etc. They will also prosecute cases of loyal citizens of Southern states for supplies taken by the U.S. Army during the Civil War.
