註釋The families of Gradenwitz and Kuczynski related to each other through marriages became famous as the six generations of businessmen, bankers and intellectuals. The famous historian Juergen Kuczynski was a remarkable member of the Jewish Central European intelligentsia of the inter-war period. For him Marxism was the answer to the ethnic and national rivalries, and economic and political chaos which followed the First World War. In 1992 Kuczynski published a self-mocking volume calling himself "a true party-line dissident". Outside Germany he is well known for his works on economic history, including his History of the Working Class under Capitalism. The title of this book can be translated as "The black sheep by Grandenwitz and Kuczynski: two Berlin families in the 19th and 20th centuries". This book portrays personal lives and deals with the German-Jewish economic history, from its rise in the period of expansion to its exclusion by the Nazi regime. A short presentation of the book is given on www.gradenwitz-kuczynski.de.
