This is the first collected German edition of Byron's works, published by the firm of Brothers Schumann. The firm was founded by the composer Robert Schumann's father, Alexander Schumann. The set is part of Schumann's series of pocket classics of foreign literature in new German translations: Taschenbibliothek der ausländischen Klassiker in neuen Verdeutschungen. The works have been translated by a variety of translators.
