Torrence and Allied Families
註釋Albert Torrence (d.1775), Hugh Torrance (1701-1784), and James Torrance were three sons of Sgt. Hugh Terence of Ireland (with Scottish lineage). Albert immigrated to Philadelphia, and settled in the Conocoheague Settlement in Franklin County, Pennsylvania by 1751. Hugh immigrated to Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and served in the Revolutionary War. James, the third son, remained in Ireland, as did most of his descendants, although at least one of his sons immigrated to Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Missouri and elsewhere. Some descendants emigrated from Scotland or England to Quebec, Manitoba and elsewhere in Canada. Includes ancestry in Scotland, Ireland and elsewhere.
