Letter to Beloved Friends
註釋Unable to attend the American Anti-Slavery Society's 30th anniversary meeting in Philadelphia, Theodore Weld, Angelina Weld, and Sarah Grimke write to William Lloyd Garrison a "few words of earnest greeting" to pass on to the abolitionists at the convention. Weld asserts that the end of slavery is nigh, and that it is simply a matter of collective will and effort. Weld reminds Garrison that the "fullest celebration of the past is to gird ourselves anew for the present & the future."
