註釋Based on a series of broadcasts on the Israeli Army radio station. Discusses Nazi antisemitism and the Holocaust as very complex phenomena, for which there cannot be only one explanation - they require multidisciplinary study. Presents one aspect of Nazi antisemitism - the mythological, focusing on the dialectic between German culture and its "separant" forces (which erupted violently, especially against the Jews) and the Jewish "participant" character. Compares these two forces with Sisyphus and Tantalus. Another force working against the Jews in German culture was stigmatization - the negative stereotype of the Jew was used as a contrast for the sake of constructing the German identity of the pure and beautiful Aryan. The above beliefs, combined with severe economic conditions and frustrations, allowed the Holocaust to happen.
