Writer and education adviser Song Lam is hoping to inspire young New Zealanders to adopt traditional values with her latest book of poetry. The 26 traditional Chinese poems are relevant to today's children from all cultures as well as young Chinese immigrants. This modern style of poetry is limited to 17 Chinese characters in three lines. Some of the poems are bi-lingual. Ms Song Lam has written numerous bi-lingual books since moving to New Zealand in the early 1990s.
