God has a perfect plan for our lives. The stories of Bob McCluskey and Agnes Mary Martin demonstrate that plan executed in the lives of two people, born on different continents, yet destined to meet.

Growing up through the hopelessness and depression of the 1930s, surviving World War II with barely a scratch, working various careers, and surviving both of their first spouses, Bob and Agnes Mary never expected they would meet, least of all that this chance meeting would become the beautiful love story described in these pages.

Filled with Bob McCluskey's poetic insights and sense of wonder at the world, When We Were Young will inspire generations to come.
