This collection comprises playscripts, poetry, other writings and correspondence, and is divided into two series. The first series includes Douglas Muecke's work, with typescript copies of his plays Takeover, Hamlet the Prequel, and Moy. There is his translation of Em and Moy, his literary criticism Henry V and the Uncertainties of Ironic Interpretation, and typescript copies of his poetry. Series 2 covers correspondence between Douglas and Barbara Wall and is divided into two sub-series. The first contains letters sent from Douglas to Barbara (1968-2007) and the second, letters sent from Barbara to Douglas (1954-2006). Correspondence includes personal and academic discussions, with topics including Douglas's published works on irony, his plays including Moy, poet Charles Rischbieth Jury and their work together on editing and publishing Jury's work.
