The quotation from classics of Chinese traditional culture, the bold combination and creation, the choice of contemporary art as language, all these give expression to artists' rigorous and rational thinking. Of the two artists, Zhang Biao looked at the contratidction between Ego and Id in one's inner world from a micro-perspective, whereas Yu Xiangming chose a macro-perspective to examine and ponder on the ojbective results of this contradiction. Together, actually, they spoke about the tremendous impact that lashed out at our hearts by the 30-years' social changes in China. These two artists chose Longhu as element, oil painting and installation as carrier, expressedd to us their philosophical probe into the question of finding "The right way". -- back cover
