Fail to Fall
註釋In 2010 Roman Ondák found dozens of photographs on the internet depicting failed parachute jumps. Their quality in most cases was quite poor, and in the gallery they are presented in the same size and resolution as the artist found them. All of the shots feature situations in which a parachute got stuck somewhere during the landing: in a tree, on the Statue of Liberty or the arm of Jesus above Rio de Janeiro. The scenes are mostly bizarre, more funny than tragic at first sight. Roman Ondák is known for his broad, virtually worldwide activities. There is no continent, aside from Antarctica and Atlantis, where he hasn't left traces of his work. Within the modest story of Slovak art, Roman Ondák is the first personality, whose work has such reach.
