註釋Exhibition of María Karantzi (b. Greece 1981), Gianfranco Foschino (b. Santiago de Chile 1983) and the members of the collective Galería Daniel Morón (GDM) curated by Rodrigo Quijano (b. Peru). "They say we are backward" is an exhibition that brings together works in a variety of audio-visual media (site specific installations, audio installations and HD video) that address the tensions between the periphery and the hegemonic discourse of development; between boundaries and social centrality, between informality and the institutional order. This is the second exhibition of the new cycle of exhibitions at the gallery Gabriela Mistral in which the cultural space invites a foreign curator to select Chilean artists based on a review of their portfolios and after visiting their workshops. The first was "Arqueologías a destiempo" curated by Rodrigo Alonso (Argentina) with the exhibition of the artwork of Camila Ramírez, Andrés Vial and Raimundo Edwards.
