註釋A major goal, as a teacher, in a learning environment is to develop the classroom community where students feel safe to learn and share with appropriate social skills without losing valuable time in teaching. Based on The Responsive Classroom approach and Bloom's Taxonomy, a responsive, supplementary curriculum centered on partners was designed and implemented based on collaboration and developing higher, critical thinking skills using American Sign Language (ASL) and English. Deaf students gained experience in working with their peers and acquired the linguistic abilities to do so effectively, in both ASL and English.
