註釋Section A of this report reviews sources of Canadian perinatal health data. Presentation of each data source uses the following format: overview, perinatal health relevant content, and data quality. The principal data sources include vital statistics, hospitalization data, and national health surveys. Section B provides information on 24 perinatal health indicators currently being monitored in Canada. Each indicator is defined, followed by information on its relevance, background, selected data, data limitations, and references. The indicators are grouped into categories covering behaviours & practices, health services, maternal health outcomes, and foetal & infant health outcomes.
