This report records the results of a ventilation survey performedaround 9 East longwall in Lingan Colliery a few weeks prior to achange in the intake gateroad packing system from conventionalstone filled hardwood packs to monolithic packing. A briefdiscussion relates the similarity of the leakage characteristicsto those recorded on the adjacent longwall and the apparenteffects of the gateroad sealant currently being sprayed in theintake level.
