In total, the whole collection covers includes texts by prominent art critics and historians and references on 191 plastic artists illustrated with 1425 color plates. The collection was originally coordinated by the late Miguel Carbajal and after his death this referential work was continued and finished by Angel Kalenberg. This number features 27 artists who were part of a young generation that started working in 1985, soon after the end of the dictatorship and recuperates the human figure, an attitude that represents a clear victory over the nihilism of past generations of artists. The "expressionists" do it by infringing the academic cannons, deforming, painting (human) monsters.
