He points to how the people, places and events affected him; and helped prepare him for a forty year plus career in education as a teacher and administrator in the elementary school through higher education at the graduate level. He then spent over a decade as a real estate investor and broker. Currently living at his old home place where he was reared, he enjoys the closeness of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
