Our Common Threads
註釋In "Our Common Threads" 38 women tell their stories of textile art received or given, and bring to the fore what is often intimate and quietly held special stories. In so doing, they honour the women involved and tell personal and often generational stories of connection and meaning. In an historical way women's fabric art is seldom granted the status it deserves as a genre. "Our Common Threads" challenges that omission and validates art that women have created over eons, art given to others as a communication of love and connection.
