註釋A collection of letters written by German soldiers from the front, which reflect all kinds of anti-Jewish stereotypes. Arranged in chronological order, the letters reflect the Nazi anti-Jewish political stances. These include appeals which begin with the idea "to expel the Jews" and are intensified to the point of request for a "final solution". Rejects the distinction which has generally been drawn in postwar Germany between the SS, who did the "dirty job", and the "respectable" Wehrmacht.
