註釋
Informations provenant du libraire parisien Christophe Daviet-Thery: "The book you are holding in your hands tries to give you some factual and pictorial information. It contains a short summary of some of my exhibition activities. The exhibition chronology is divided into three parts : solo shows, two-person shows and group shows, completed by an incomplete but almost academically correct bibliography. The book you are holding in your hands also houses some reproductions of pictures, that part being the pictorial information. Those pictures represent a seemingly average art exhibition. Some of these pictures are accompanied by a short description stating the title of the work depicted, the material and year of its conception. Eventually getting into details by mentioning the exact size of a single work. The reproductions pictured in the book you are holding in your hands document a trial. None, with one exception, of the works depicted got into another state than that of a model. In other words these printed pictures bear witness to the factual demonstration of a display of possible works of art. That scenography being constructed for the sole reason of being documented and those picture documentations, on their turn, taken for the sole reason to appear in this catalogue. Hereby creating a presence next to the existing exhibition history - and for that matter also the future exhibition history at Galerie Micheline Szwajcer located Verlatstraat 14, Antwerp, Belgium. This catalogue thus leaves a trace of a "show" that would otherwise have disappeared in the course of the gallery's programme. Nonetheless, by its appearance it might show the possibility of that disappearance. As a consequence the photographic documentation of that event is not a rendering of this action but a simple registration of factuality. As a matter of fact, that display was constructed with the help of Ben Meewis on August 5, 2010 and on view on the following day. On the same day (August 6) that scenographic constellation was mechanically registered and reproduced by means of a Horseman SW-D Pro, Phase One P45 digital back and Rodenstock 55 mm lens which was operated by Kristien Daem, who was assisted by myself. The images you meet in the book you are holding in your hands are thus the only remaining results of the setting as described in the previous paragraphes."
