註釋Samuel Henry of Washington County, Virginia (now Tennessee) was the father of six sons, born ca. 1749-ca. 1764. His son, Major Hugh Henry (1756-1838), married Mary Long at Jamestown, Virginia. They had at least nine children. She died between 1805 and 1813 at Henry's Cross Roads, Kodak, Sevier County, Tennesse. He married 2) Mary (Polly) Upton, daughter of James and Nancy Bogle Upton, in 1813 in Blount County, Tennessee. They had ten children, 1814-1828. He died at Kodak, Tennessee. Descendants listed lived in Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, Texas, and elsewhere.
