A Discourse of Wind (Tomes Maritime)
註釋In A Discourse of Wind Dampier provides an account of the winds, and weather, storms, tides, and currents of the Torrid Zone, round the world. It was Dampier's hope this treatise on wind would help improve the art and science of navigation. His hopes were met. A Discourse of Wind became a touchstone of navigation throughout the age of sail and was still used in the teaching of navigation in England into the early years of the twentieth century. Includes: the Map Showing Dampier's Voyage; a New Map Showing Dampier's Voyage; a map of the winds of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans; and, a map of the winds of the Great Southern Sea.
