Forest Management Guide for Tomentosus Root Disease
註釋The fungus Inonotus tomentosus causes root-rot on conifer species in Canada. This publication begins with basic information on the disease, where it occurs, the types of sites on which it occurs, how it can be detected, disease symptoms, and the tomentosus disease cycle. This is followed by a review on how the disease affects forest products through loss of timber, downgrading of logs due to staining, and other factors. The final section provides guidance for Ontario foresters on the management of forests affected with tomentosus root disease, including prevention, minimization, and monitoring.
