Implementing Adaptive Management Through the North Coast LRMP
註釋This report provides some ideas & suggestions on how adaptive management could be incorporated into the North Coast Land & Resource Management Plan from the outset. It addresses five specific questions: the criteria to assess the resources or values that would benefit from adaptive management; how the planners could approach its negotiations within an adaptive management framework; how the Plan can provide language through objectives & strategies to identify & enable testing of resource management assumptions; the criteria for identifying indicators to test resource management assumptions; the types of analysis that would support an adaptive management approach; and how these analyses should be incorporated into a decision support system for the adaptive management process. The appendix includes an adaptive management decision tree and a description of an adaptive management guidance team.
