The book was written in 1944 and is now being published posthumously. Vol. 1 is a survey of Majorca Jewry since Roman times, and describes various periods of persecution, focusing on the Christian period when Majorca was under the rule of Aragon. The pogrom of 1391 was followed by mass forced conversions. Includes lists of Conversos, their addresses, the charges brought against them, and their treatment by the Inquisition. Vol. 2 relates the fate of descendants of the Conversos from 1535 to 1675.
