White Magic
註釋"White Magic" is the delightful story of a little boy, Christopher, who went to live in the country when his father was ill. He made many real friends there: Crump, the grumpy old gardener with his tattooed arms; William the silent, with round glasses and a passion for trains; little Mary Penalicon, daughter of the blacksmith who was called by the villagers "a bit queer in his head"; the visionary blacksmith himself, and many more. All sorts of "magic" things happened while Christopher was there, but the best magic of all was the love he left behind him, when he went home again, in the hearts of everyone who knew him. -- Dust jacket.
