註釋Pp. 35-102 trace the fate of Jewish lawyers in Berlin after 1933. The first wave of discrimination was characterized by terror attacks on Jewish attorneys, the second comprised legal and bureaucratic measures, the third included an economic aspect, and the fourth resulted in a general ban on employment. Notes that 664 lawyers were dismissed in 1933, and in 1938 at least another 671 lost their employment. Discusses emigrations, deportations, and cases of suicide. Pp. 104-289 contain an alphabetical list of Jewish attorneys who worked in Berlin. The list includes 1,807 names, 98.5% of all the persecuted attorneys; 403 are restricted to names only, while the other 1,404 include details on their fate.
