註釋What makes a community? For those who live in the small rural area of Trapp, Kentucky; nestled in the foothills of Clark County, they've known for more than one hundred years what the center of their community is: their school. From its inception as a one room school house to its current stately brick walls, it's served as the lifeblood and epicenter of this farming region for decades. In 1984 the parents and community members rallied together after a fire burned it to the ground and had it rebuilt so that their children wouldn't have to be bussed into the neighboring town and could remain together. Now, as the school faces what could be its final year, this brief history offers a look back over the school and community's history and ties to the region and its people.
