註釋The Committee of Assessment was established on October 23, 1974 by the Education Committee, following the Education Committee's assessment of a paper on assessment prepared by the Vice-Chancellor. All staff and students were invited to make submissions, all departments were asked to supply information on changes in methods of assessment, a detailed study was to be made of two departments and a questionnaire sent to a random sample of students. An interim report was presented in February 1975 (largely draft working group reports), and two supplements, one (an anaylsis of questionnairres sent to departments, staff and students) in May 1975, and the other (a report on Pass/Failure Rates) in June 1975.
