The book includes editorial material as well as facsimile reproductions of Amos's original works spanning the years 1798-1816. It contains everything he is known to have published after Drill-husbandry. For each of his works, this volume gives background information on the circumstances in which it was produced, comments on its content and significance and brief details about the original from which the facsimile has been prepared. At the end of the volume are Notes on elucidating matters of detail in Amos's text, followed (in Appendix A) by an identification of the main sources he appears to have used for each piece.
