FEDERALISM AND DEMOCRATIC PROCESS IN INDIA
註釋India is a country of great geographical extent. It sprawls from the snowy ranges of the Himalayas in the north of the shore of the Indian ocean in the South. It belongs to Asia which is the largest continent of the world. It forms a part of south Asia and is separated by the Himalays from the rest of the continent. India extends from 8o4' north to 37o6' north latitude and 68o7' east to 97o25' east longitude. Thus its latitudinal and longitudinal extent is about thirty degree with an area of 3287263 sq. km. India is the seventh largest country of the world after Russia, Canada, China, USA, Brazil and Australia1.
