註釋
A technique is described for recording electroencephalograms (EEG) and visually evoked cortical responses (VERs) from rats during hyperbaric exposure. A reliable and durable chronic electrode implantation procedure is used in which miniature, self-tapping stainless steel screws serve a dual role as cortical electrodes and as anchors for a miniature connecting socket. Sample data are presented which were obtained from implanted rats during exposure to hyperbaric air. The techniques developed are well-suited for studying the neurophysiological effects of hyperbaric environments. (Author)
