註釋Belgian by nationality, Yves Weinand obtained his degree in architecture in 1986 at the Institut Saint-Luc, Liège. Having worked as an independent architect in Helsinki, then in New York, and later in Brussels, he combined this activity with his studies at the Lausanne Federal Polytechnic; he graduated in 1994 with a degree in civil engineering, taking part in teaching and research in the field of engineering immediately thereafter, as an assistant to the Chair of structural studies within the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnical Institute of Rhein-Westfalen. After completing his studies in Philosophy, focussing on the aesthetics and philosophy of art, Damien Darcis, Philosophy researcher, wrote his doctorate on the question of spatiality qua modality by means of which a human society is constructed. He has combined his research activities with his work as a plastician; since 2006, the focus here has been the expression of the links between the individual and the 'landscape'.
