Albert Drach
註釋A biography of Drach, a Jewish writer born in Vienna in 1902. In 1938 he fled to France and lived in Nice. After the Nazi occupation he was interned in the camps of Les Milles and Saint Nicolas, from where he escaped and returned to Nice. In 1942 he was arrested again and deported to Rivesaltes, but was released the following day. From September 1943-February 1945 Drach hid in Valdeblore (Provence). In October 1947 he returned to Austria, and, after much effort, ownership of his house was returned to him. Discusses the influence of the Holocaust on his works, parts of which were written during the war.
