Triumph Over Tragedy
註釋

Carol is a Caucasian American who was born a deaf mute. She was kidnapped, beaten, molested, and tortured by her evil grandmother when she was five years of age. She assumed the abuse was over after leaving home at 18, but 18 years of abuse was just the tip of the iceberg.

She was rescued from a potential life of prostitution by an African American man only to be kidnapped and abused by him. She sold her body to survive but couldn't tolerate the life she was living and quit. She asked some police officers for help but was kidnapped and raped by five Miami, Florida cops. Her attorney was murdered and another attorney lied and deceived her out of millions of dollars. She turned to alcohol at eighteen to numb the horrible life she had lived through.

Her life never got any better as she was coerced into a marriage by an abusive man. She literally stared Satan in the face when he tried to enter her life. She was injured by another police officer and deceived by another attorney. A second marriage turned out to be a very controlling man. Her many encounters with a Higher Power enabled her to survive and write The Shackled Slave.
