Furthermore the Port Authority commissioned the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy to conduct a study on Decarbonization Pathways for the Industrial Cluster of the Port of Rotterdam, in order to explore the consequences of global decarbonisation for the port's industrial cluster and to identify possible scenarios on how the port could prepare for such a future and prepare for a pro-active stance towards deep decarbonisation.
