註釋The Archean Nain province of Labrador constitutes the easternmost part of the Canadian Shield bounded by the Labrador Sea. The structural province contains some of the oldest rocks of Precambrian shields in the world. Mapping in Hopedale block was carried out from 1978-81. This report describes the geological history of southern Nain province from 3300-1300 Ma and was conducted to stimulate mineral exploration work.
