This book is being published on the occasion of David Tartakover's exhibition at Tel Aviv Museum of Art, spring 2016. It contains 161 works created between 1977-1982 and presented here for the first time. The works were selected from the "black books," which provide a dictionary of the images, forms, landscapes, and ideas that have preoccupied Tartakover for over forty years. The book's spreads consist of discrete pages, created in different periods, which were assembled to generate a single new image.
