註釋The Requa family originated in France. Two brothers surnamed Requa immigrated to America in about 1690 seeking religious freedom. The only brother to marry was Gabriel Requa (b. 1678) who was born in Tremblade, France and was the father of Glode Requa who, in turn, was the father of eight children. Descendants live throughout the United States.
