Gulliver the Traveling Gecko is a story about a gecko, a lizard mainly found in southern regions. Since this is not a well-known animal, Mary Ann Donovan thought it would be an interesting and fun story for little ones.

On a recent day trip to a nearby beach town, a gecko spent the entire day on and in the author’s car. This made the trip both surprising and enjoyable for both the author and the Gecko she named Gulliver.

The best part of the story was the fact that Donovan was able to bring Gulliver back to its original surroundings.
