This volume features 98 items of antiquities selected from the Hubei Provincial Museum, the Jingzhou Museum and the Yichang Museum. The objects were found in the Jianghan Plain of Hubei, an important cultural origin of the Changjiang River Basin. The pieces date from the late Palaeolithic period of 50000 - 40000 BP to the late Warring States Period of the 3rd century BC and include stone implements, pottery, jades, bronzes, gold wares, lacquerwares and textiles. They comprehensively show the brilliant civilization of the Jianghan region.
