Finding Joy after Sorrow
註釋In her collected works, Finding Joy After Sorrow, author Beth Carol Solomon explores the impact people have on one another and the courage it takes to overcome adversity.

This rerelease of the author’s Collected Works—originally published in 2002—contains two parts. The first features true personal accounts, where Beth Carol Solomon fondly writes of people in her life who influenced her, recognizing the important parts they played in her life.

The second part features two novellas, each a story of children with special needs and the adults who strive to help them overcome their demons and learn to love, forgive, and understand themselves and each other. In These Three, a special education teacher with her own troubled past works with three abused teenagers, offering them love and support. In Arlene and Rubin: A Love Story, two young victims of sexual abuse help each other to overcome their dark pasts.

Afterward, is a list of recommended resources available for those facing challenges such as child abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, domestic violence, and special needs individuals.
