Cornelius Kole (1850-1924) married Maria Kamphuis (1860-1941). Ancestry is traced to Reinder Kamphuis (born 1755) through Gerrit Kamphuis (1829-1905), born in Epe, Holland who came to the U.S. in 1871 and lived in Michigan. He married Teuntje Dalhuisen (1831-1901). Koles are traced to Marinus Kole (1826-1892) and his wife, Adriana Vleugel (1823-1897) who came to Michigan from Zeeland province in Holland in 1847. Members of the families lived in Washington, Michigan, Idaho, Iowa, and elsewhere.
